How to install RxView with a Network license

Insert the “RxView/RxHighlight” CD into the computer that is to work as the license server

This picture shows after you have clicked”Network Installation Page”. Click ”Generate Server LockID” to get the license server identification. Be aware that this LockID must be created on the machine that you plan to install the license server on. The LockID is specific for the machine you are running the CD from. Email the information generated to your distributor or dealer. He will send you a server license file While you are waiting for your server license file to be returned, carry out the next stage of the installation. Click ”Install Network Licensing Server”.
In order to monitor and watch over the license server from any work station, you must install the “Network Licensing Tools” on the workstation. From the workstation, insert the CD and click to the Install page. Click “Install Network Licensing Tools”. When you receive your server license file save it to a secure folder. Start the License Server Admin on your workstation by selecting, Start -> Program -> Rasterex -> Network Licensing Tools -> License Server Admin
Using License Server Admin, click to open the Subnet Servers, and you will see the name of your license server. Click the right mouse button on the license server name and select”Add Feature” -> ”From a File” -> ”To Server and its File”. Browse to the server license file you received by email and stored in a secure location.
Install RxView R5 on the clients computers. If a license server is available on the network then it will be located during installation. The license server name is stored in a textfilen called LSHOST in the RxView installation folder. The LSHOST file can be removed if you want the client RxView to locate a license server.
